Plastic litter in South Africa is a huge problem especially in more rural areas, and it is encouraging to see entrepreneurial people like Lynette turn some of this problem into a way of earning an income.

Lynette first came to Woza Moya in 2025, she earns a living through her hand-crafts to provide for her family. In February 2026 she joined our crochet project where she, with a small group of other crocheters, are working on developing new products. Find out more about this project in our blog.
