Artist Card – Fancy Stitch

This card is a print of Fancy Stitch’s embroidery “Our Garden of Eden”.

The embroidery printed on this card is the largest piece ever undertaken by Fancy Stitch. Fancy Stitch Group is a self-help, income generating and skills development initiative amongst women. It is based in the rural, mountainous village of Ingwavuma, KZN which borders Swaziland.

Fancy Stitch artists Sizakele Mbuyisa, Thobile Myeni, Thulisile Ngcampalala, Nelile Mathenjwa and Nomusa Mpontshane worked together for over 3 months to create this masterpiece.

The beautiful botanicals and birdlife seem to swirl in this composition to create a mesmerising South African garden.

Fancy Stitch is well known for its embroidered bookmarks, cards and magnets.

Card dimensions are approximately 14cm x 14cm.

This card does not come with an envelope.
