Materials & Impact

Crafted by hand using PVC-coated wire and a galvanised steel core, selected for durability and longevity.

This work continues the tradition of Zulu telephone wire weaving—an adaptive craft that historically made use of reclaimed materials. While modern wire is now used for quality and consistency, the spirit of resourcefulness and innovation remains central to the practice.

By purchasing this piece, you support sustainable livelihoods for artisans and help preserve an evolving Zulu cultural craft.
